A Robust Talent Agenda

The Detroit Regional Chamber ensures the region is a world-class destination for talent.

The Detroit region’s best attribute is the people, and for our people and companies to succeed in the 21st century global marketplace, empowering individuals with in-demand skills is crucial. That is why the Chamber operates a suite of programs – from K-12 to working professionals – geared toward ensuring 60 percent of adults in our region hold a postsecondary degree or credential by 2030.

Provides all Detroiters a tuition-free path to college

The Chamber administers the Detroit Promise scholarship, providing a tuition-free path to college for all Detroiters.

Students who qualify for the scholarship can attend any of six participating community colleges or 17 four-year universities and colleges.

To ensure students have the one-on-one support they need, the Chamber employs "campus coaches" to help them adjust, navigate and remain enrolled in college.
