Was sought out by Gov. Rick Snyder to advise on mobility initiatives

Michigan is mobility, thanks in large part to MICHauto and its partner organizations. The state is the first in the nation to enact policies encouraging testing and advancement of next-generation vehicles on Michigan roads.

The Chamber and MICHauto advised on the creation and launch of the American Center for Mobility and the PlanetM branding campaign.


Helps make lasting connections between students and industry leaders


At MICHauto, we’re all about changing perceptions to attract future talent to our industry. Through the highly interactive Discover Auto series, MICHauto showcases the exciting and innovative careers within the industry and connects college students with industry leaders. Since 2013, over 1,200 resumes have been exchanged and 250 interviews have been scheduled.

Students connect with industry leaders at Discover Auto events throughout the Detroit region.

In 2017, the MICHauto Summit, the initiative's signature event, connected more than 100 high school and college students to industry professionals.

Programming focused on the industry’s rapidly evolving culture and careers.

Following the event, 95 percent of student attendees indicated their perception of the industry had changed for the better.


Supports statewide economic development with customized, best-in-class research

In addition to new and updated data, the award-winning Michigan Is AutoMobility report showcases the state's leadership in autonomous and connected technology.

The report has been translated into five languages and is used by the Governor and other business attraction teams across Michigan to market the state's automobility leadership.
