Impact Over the Past Two Years

Collaboratively marketing the Detroit region

The Chamber leads Destination Detroit, North America's premier regional business attraction team. That means domestic and global businesses count on us when looking for success in the 11 counties and 7,000 square miles that make up the Detroit region.

Connecting the mobility startup ecosystem and traditional automotive industry

The PlanetM Landing Zone is a first-of-its-kind entry point for global mobility startups. Following various fact finding trade missions to high-tech markets active in the automobility space like Silicon Valley, Israel and the Netherlands, the Chamber and its partners recognized the need for a "soft landing zone" in Detroit.

The PlanetM Landing Zone provides a collaborative space at WeWork in downtown Detroit for global mobility startups.

There are currently 23 startups and six industry partners that have staff operating out of the Landing Zone to connect, share and collaborate to drive innovation in next-generation mobility.
